Love is, Like a Rose

Updated: Oct 31, 2025

Thought I knew what love was

Thought I knew so many things

She was lovely, so was that

Still... I see, that isn't that

It's so much, way much bigger than that

Nothing comes close to her beauty

All, held in her embrace

A rose, a deer, a lovely sheet of paper

A child, a fool, a dirty smelly pauper

Futile may it seem to be

To write of what I see in thee

Beauty beyond infinity

All in you, and all in me

Glory, glory radiant grace

Allowing me to see your face

Look, God, O God, This is love

Thank you, thank you, heavens above

Thank you so much, so much love

I feel you in my bones and heart

Even in the words Thou Art

I am thine, love divine

Deep bow for these words from who knows where

And love I keep seeing everywhere

Including what I used to be

Before love became me

I am you and you are me

There's something about infinity

Here I stop and bow, in humility

Love, your humble admirer
